My overview

I think I have learned alot in this class so far. I believe that it good stuff to know to help with the rest of the course and throught out your life to know more about computers. For the rest of the semeter I would like to learn more about how to make posters and logos. Also to get more used to all of the tools. the thing that still challenges me the most is knowning which tool to use for each task and what is the best for each thing. For my final project i would like to try to create a logo for my moms daycare and also maybe another collage.

easy learning tips

The website I found was http://www.adobe.com/education/digkids/lessons/ when i started to look throught this website i thought it was really good because it has different links to learn more about each step. Also I like how it came down to kides level to make it fun for them to. the thing I like best is being able to see other peoples work to help inspire you.

13 lessons to good pictures

On the thirteen lesson website I found it very helpful that it went through step by step try to help you get better photographs. I think it is a very good website to use if you are just starting to take pictures and use photoshop. I like how it tells you to take many shots at many different angels for you can find the right one when you are trying to find one to photoshop. I also think the background lesson is very important it creates more work on photoshop and sometimes the background doesnt match the best. I think these lesson are a good way to learn more about the camera and how to take good pictures to work with.

Logo

The two different logos I found were Mcdonald's and pizza hut. For Mcdonald's i think it needs some more color and i little more added to it i think it is kind of plain. For Pizza Hut i like this one because it has different colors and different designs.

After working with photo shop and looking at photoshop.com I like what both of them have for you to beable to do different things. I like how photoshop.com startes of with the three different oppions my library, my album, and browse i think this would be easier to get your pictures you wont to work with easier. Also I like how you can look through pictures to see what other people are doing and showing some of the tools. I also like how photoshop has the toolbar and things hidden underneath that are simmilar making it easier to use photoshop when the layout works with what you need.

I choose to do my collage of friends to show how much they mean to me. The first thing I did was to gather all of the photos I wanted to use for this project. Next you choose how much of the picture you wanted and then feathered them. After I did this to all of the pictures I thought I needed I started to arange them overlapping and some running of the page. Next I added the text and added different effects to them. Throught the whole process I kept moving the pictures untill i thought they look good.

In my movie poster i changed the titile to The Fairy of Oz. I used the smudging tool to get the background to match underneath the new titile. I also changed the faces on the characters using the clone stamp to move the faces. To create a new design.

Pictures

For this week project we had to photoshop two different pictures and create new pictures. For the first picture of Tiffany and me i got this picture from my facebook that i was tagged in. The first thing i did was desaturated it and made the dress and shirt in color so they would pop out. Next i took out the color on the stop sign and made it pop. The next thing i did was use the type tool and wrote in sister, love, and friend. This picture remindes me that she will always be there for me. This picture makes me think of determination for all the things she has got throught in her life.

For the next picture of Ashley and me I got this picture from facebook. the first thing i did with this picture was used the stamp tool to cover my dog that was in the background also i stamped out the date on the bottom of the picture. I also got rid of the grain bin in the back ground. I used the touch up tool to fix little lines that were in the picture. This picture makes me think of inspration and look up to my sister and reach goals as she does. I like how both of these pictures turned out and I enjoy learning more about each tool for I can use these skills for any picture.

Interview

Fot this project i interviewed Justin Podany he graduated from St. Mary's in 2007. Justin took a graphic design class that was offered by St. Mary's his senior year he enjoyed it so he decided to go to University of Nebraska at Kearney. Some of the elements of design he uses in class is line, shape, direction, size, texture, color, and value. Some principles of design Justin uses balance, gradation, repetition, contrast, harmony, dominance, and unity. Justin is not in the working feild because he is still in college he still works with clients and his teachers to figure out what they need in the design or what they wont for he can make a great design for them. Justin also believes if you make a good impression they will let ever on they know and your bussiness will continue to grow. His hardest task right now is learning all the software for all of his classes the software is always changing and upgradeing and it is his job to know how to do each thing.

What I thought of apple student Gallery

My first thought is that the age should be dropped for everone could but photo's on. I liked how they had the home page set up for you can find whatever category you are looking for. It is also nice to get new ideas on what you can take pictures of. Apple student gallery is a good site to look at meny different things.

Three things I learned about photoshop

One thing i learned is how to use all the tool and how each one works. They also taught me how to see all of the tool at once and how to change each setting. I also learned how to add live effects to different layers to each of your project. Also how to use all the different settings on the live effects tool bar. Another thing I learned was how to use the heal to tool to fixs and spots that you do not want to be see. How you move the circles to the spot and how you match the color. To create the best picture you can.

My 1st tann blog

Hi my name is Heather Vandesnick and I go to St. Mary's High School in O'neill. I am involved in the tann program in the digital design class. I have had alot of background in taking pictures but I have not had any experience with working with design and creating different pictures. I look forward to learning all i can do with different programs we will learn.
